We Love Made In The South
One of the special things about the South is that we have so many unique small businesses which really add to our character. So in celebration of Small Business Saturday, here are some of our favorite videos showcasing the amazing craftsmen and women, chefs and local entrepreneurs we’ve visited in our travels.

We love Callie’s freshly made biscuits. Owner Carrie Morey was inspired by the amazing biscuits her mother and grandmother would make and thought, why not share them with the world? (See the video here)
Grab something off the rack or order something custom made at Satchel in Savannah. Everything from guitar straps, to koozies, to handbags are available. It’s a great example of the creativity in this Southern city. (See the video here)
Find something for everyone in Nashville’s Hillsboro Village. In just a four block radius you can find a variety of boutiques, shops, dining, and even the historic Belcourt Theatre. Or, stop in the ultra unique Pangaea which has been open for over 20 years. (See the video here)
They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but we would argue that anyone loves the gift of food! And at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market in Atlanta, there’s plenty to choose from. Everything from gourmet popcorn to burgers to pies. Yum! (See the video here)
Not sure what to get for that hard to please person? How about some authentic Southern distilled spirits! Striped Pig Distillery takes theirs from local grain to the glass. Bottoms up! (See the video here)
This is some special chocolate. Adam Turoni’s chocolate is meant to speak to the individual – to be something unique. But it’s not just chocolate here! There’s bacon butter pecan toffee and even more. So for anyone with a sweet tooth, this is a place to stop. (See the video here)
If you’ve got someone in your life who loves Southern music, or just loves something made by hand, check out Hatch Show Print. They use letterpress printing, which is a very slow, custom process of making prints. The process can take as long as a week for each piece. (See the video here)
