We Love Made In The South

Items made in the South are always our favorites.

One of the special things about the South is that we have so many unique small businesses which really add to our character. So in celebration of Small Business Saturday, here are some of our favorite videos showcasing the amazing craftsmen and women, chefs and local entrepreneurs we’ve visited in our travels.

Grab something off the rack or order something custom made at Satchel in Savannah. Everything from guitar straps, to koozies, to handbags are available. It’s a great example of the creativity in this Southern city.  (See the video here)

This is some special chocolate. Adam Turoni’s chocolate is meant to speak to the individual – to be something unique. But it’s not just chocolate here! There’s bacon butter pecan toffee and even more. So for anyone with a sweet tooth, this is a place to stop.  (See the video here)

Hatch Show Print – Nashville, Tennessee

Hatch 3

If you’ve got someone in your life who loves Southern music, or just loves something made by hand, check out Hatch Show Print. They use letterpress printing, which is a very slow, custom process of making prints. The process can take as long as a week for each piece.  (See the video here)
