Stay a Night at the Museum in North Carolina’s ‘White House’
In the small town of Grover – named for the 22nd President of the United States Grover Cleveland – sits a white house with an interesting history. Inside, you’ll find former Camp David and White House Chef Marti Mongiello with his wife Chef Stormy Mongiello. They now serve as hosts and curators for the Inn of the Patriots – and within it, the Presidential Culinary Museum.
The idea of a food themed B&B wasn’t a stretch. Marti acquired quite a bit of memorabilia/history from his time working with Presidents. Now, you’ll find all of that displayed along the walls of the inn.
With rare and historical artifacts, staying there is truly spending a night at the museum. And when you wake up? Breakfast – prepared by the former White House Chef himself.
