Even in a chili town like Cincinnati, we’ve always heard that firefighters make it best. So, we decided to put it to the test. Meet George and Ron Phelps, brothers with a family history of firefighting in Cincinnati that goes back decades. George is retired now, running his company “Chili Rocks” and competing in chili competitions all over the world. Ron is still in service, working at Engine 29 in Over-the-Rhine. That’s exactly where we went to discover their secret recipe and learn about what it means to be part of the fire service. We went to learn about chili, but we left learning a lot about life.
