Located roughly two miles off the state highway, deep in the Davy Crockett Forest in East Texas, is Larry Bruce Gardens. The 7 acres are filled with fruits and vegetables, 4 adorable and quaint guest houses and a dining hall filled with incredible farm-to-table cooking.
Roughly 10 years ago, Larry and Sara Bruce decided it was time to learn to grow their own vegetables, so the idea of Larry Bruce Gardens began. The produce was delicious, so they decided to share. Little did they know, their family-property would be welcoming hundreds of people each week to sit down and fill their bellies.
How does a farm become a restaurant? For these folks, it was a natural transition.
Whether you sit down to dine during the week, or take part in the Sunday brunch, you’re going to fill your plate with delicious, fresh and wholesome food. The dining room is open from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday – Friday, from 10 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and the brunch buffet begins at 12 p.m. on Sunday. Reservations are welcomed, but aren’t required.
