Grilling Tips with Chef Benard Tamburello
Our friends at Magic City Weekend caught up with Chef Benard Tamburello, and he gave us some pro tips sure to make your next barbecue a hit!
We spent a good chunk of our time talking ribs (which is a good way to make anyone hungry!). How do you prepare them properly? What should you look for when picking them out? What kind of rub should you use? It’s all covered in our talk.
But that last one we’ve got covered in even greater detail. Chef Benard shared his rub recipe with us, so here it is!
Dry Rub Recipe
Makes 9 tablespoons (enough for 4 servings)
Prep Time – 10mins
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon granulated onion
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon Chipotle pepper
1 tablespoon black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container. Pat on the dry rub onto your next rack of ribs.
