You love them from a bag. You love them from a can. You love them from a kettle. But will you love potato chips from a grill?
We figured out how to get crispy, delicious, NOT FRIED tater slices right on one of our favorite cooking surfaces! Check out how to do grilled potato chips.
Grilled Potato Chips
- 1/2 pound large potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon grill seasoning
Preheat grill for medium heat. Place a well-oiled piece of foil on the grates.
Use either a mandolin slicer or sharp knife to cut potatoes lengthwise into very thin slices. Place in a large bowl and coat with olive oil and grill seasoning. Place a grill pan or on foil in a single layer, and grill 3-5 minutes, moving slices occasionally to prevent sticking. Once browned, flip and cook another 3-5 minutes until crispy. Keep a close eye on the potatoes as they are prone to burn if left on for too long. Remove from heat and set aside. Chips will crisp more as they cool.
Repeat process with additional potato slices.
