Get Out Your Grievances… By Throwing Them at a Wall

Whether you’re looking to let off some steam or literally let go, the experience at Grievous Gallery is one for the books. Defined as an anger room, it’s located in an old warehouse in Downtown Salisbury, N.C. When you walk in, you’re greeted by a very dark room and shrapnel of past patrons.

As owners Elysia and Timothy will tell you, it’s become more than a novelty experience in the Queen City – but a release for anyone who goes. People are encouraged to write down what’s bothering them on the items before throwing them at the wall. It’s therapeutic, they say.

That being said, the husband-and-wife duo say they also get the patrons who come just for the fun of breaking things.

Grievous Gallery is located at 313 E. Council Street in Salisbury. You can reserve the room in advance or just walk in during business hours. It’s open Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
